Virginia: Defend Freedom, Oppose Gov. Northam in Richmond Tomorrow

Governor Ralph Northam and his gun ban allies are ready to push their extreme anti-gun agenda when the General Assembly convenes its special session tomorrow--July 9th. Your NRA is calling on members and Second Amendment supporters to join in the fight against Gov. Northam’s misguided gun control proposals by coming to Richmond on July 9th to personally urge their elected officials to stand up for our rights and oppose the Northam gun ban agenda.

You are invited to stop by the House Conference Room, where you can pick up your FREE NRA gear, as well as meet with fellow members and Second Amendment supporters. Additionally, NRA staff will be present to provide updates and to assist everyone in finding their lawmakers. Please click here to RSVP.

Here are the details of the event:

If you can’t personally attend the kick off of tomorrow’s special session, you can click here to contact your lawmakers to oppose Governor Northam’s gun grab.

Leading up to tomorrow’s special session, your NRA implemented a comprehensive grassroots plan to educate and mobilize Virginia gun owners in opposition to the Northam gun grab, including the deployment of grassroots field representatives and hosting numerous town halls across the state.

As summed up by NRA spokesperson Catherin Mortensen, “The National Rifle Association’s strength comes from our nearly five million members and their passion for our Second Amendment freedoms. Our members are concerned that Gov. Northam’s special session is a political stunt aimed at distracting from his scandals. They know that not a single one of Gov. Northam’s gun control measures would have prevented the tragedy at Virginia Beach. The NRA is calling for lawmakers to get serious about improving public safety by addressing the underlying issues such as our broken mental health system.”

We hope to see you in Richmond tomorrow, but if not, please be sure to contact your lawmakers to voice your opposition to Governor Northam’s gun control bills and encourage your family, friends, and fellow firearm owners in Virginia to do the same!
