HSB 133 covers a diverse range of important issues for gun owners. Included in HSB 133 are provisions which would enhance both your fundamental right to self-defense and your Right to Keep and Bear Arms. HSB 133 also proposes revising laws to ensure that firearm regulations and policy are uniform throughout Iowa, and to restrict state of emergency powers for the Governor and other officials to prohibit the regulation and confiscation of otherwise lawful firearms. Additionally, HSB 133 makes numerous changes to the laws regarding concealed carry and the permitting process, including expanding the list of places to legally carry concealed to include Capitol buildings and grounds and ensuring that all identifiable information about nonprofessional carry permit holders is kept confidential.
Please stay tuned to your email inbox and www.nraila.org for further updates on this bill as it advances through the Iowa Legislature.
