An armed robber entered the Wrightville Country Store in Wilmington, N.C. and demanded money from clerk Mark Headstrong. Headstrong retrieved a gun and ordered the criminal to drop his firearm. When the criminal refused, Headstrong fired a warning shot into the floor, which ricocheted and hit the robber’s leg. Once again, Headstrong unsuccessfully ordered the criminal to drop his gun, at which point he shot the criminal in his hand, ending the robbery. The incident was the third time in a year that Headstrong has been held up at work. After a recent robbery store owner Musa Agil decided to arm all of his employees, telling local media “We’ve had it… We’re not going to be easy prey no more.” Agil went on to explain to reporters that the younger criminal set must be unaware of the store’s reputation. While tending the store in 1999, Agil shot a robber and for several years after the business went unharmed.

Colorado: Gun Control Bills Pass House After Weekend Votes

After holding late-night votes until close to midnight on Saturday, April 20th, the Colorado House passed three anti-gun bills on their third reading, including liability insurance mandates, an 11% excise tax, and a state-level permitting systems for FFL's.
