On Wednesday, January 22, the Veterans & Military Affairs Committee of the Colorado Senate will consider two proposals to establish a statewide Right to Carry system. Senate Bill 24, sponsored by Senator Ken Chlouber (R-4) and Senate Bill 63, sponsored by Senator Doug Lamborn (R-9) will both be heard at 1:30 pm in Room 356 of the Capitol.
Under the current permit system in place in Colorado, standards vary from county to county and local sheriffs may even refuse to grant any permits. If a statewide, "shall issue" system is established, law-abiding gun owners will no longer be subject to this arbitrary and unfair system.
Gun owners need to makes their voices heard. Contact your Senator at (888) 473-8136 and urge them to support Right to Carry, or enter your ZIP code in the box at the bottom of the page if you are unsure who your Senator is.
